  • The Four Courts building is Dublin’s juridical core. It is located near the Liffey river. Its exterior is elegant and its interiors are majestic. Its overall architecture is spectacular, therefore. I ...  more »
  • Whether you are passionate about old buildings or have always wanted to visit a trial abroad, so are the Four Courts for you. Visited this as part of a group and therefore also got a tour and a little further explanation. We had, however, know that all also can visit the place on their own. It is only to pass the security check. No appointment necessary. After that you can take a trip to the vast majority of the trials that are in progress. It is quite possible to arrive and to leave the courtroom when you want. The courts are very concerned about the transparency and are therefore happy to be visited. The site and courtrooms lively. This place is definitely worth the trip!

  • Gorgeous building absolutely worth checking out. Almost all matters dealt with in the complex are civil outside of the appellate manners which are handled here in both criminal and civil matters.
  • Surprisingly big complex. The Gandon building seems to have been updated very little, maintaining a lot of the original features, giving off a constant sense of the history of each room.
  • Superb architecture !! Being painfully restored !!
  • No Need for me to enter. Looked like they were renovating
  • Land registry office is in four courts gates...impossible to find

Where to stay in Dublin

Dublin offers everything from luxury hotels to eclectic guesthouses. Explore over 1,000 years of history in the city on foot by staying at one of the hotels or hostels in the city center. The south side of the river has always been a popular place to stay, particularly near Temple University or the tourist nightlife center Temple Bar, but a new crop of attractive options has popped up on the north side as well. For more affordable accommodations, try a hostel or make your way toward St. Stephen's Green for a more comfortable stay at a mid-range hotel. If the artistic spirit of Dublin is what beckoned you, spend your holiday in a guesthouse near the creative Lower Gardiner Street.
