Specialty Museum
Dublinia: Experience Viking and Medieval Dublin features three themed areas, with costumed actors recreating a bygone era of explorers and knights and encouraging the visitors to join in the role-play. This living history museum, located within one of the city's two major medieval cathedrals, narrates Dublin's history through reconstructions of Viking and medieval buildings and street scenes. You can learn about life onboard a Viking ship, take part in a medieval fair, and discover how historians and scientists work together to uncover the city's archeological secrets. End your visit by climbing the museum's medieval tower, which offers a bird's-eye view the surrounding area. Check online for tickets combining museum admission with a tour of the cathedral's medieval crypt.
