  • One of the characteristics of Dublin are the many statues that are located around the city, one of the most beautiful in my opinion is the one dedicated to Charles s. Parnell. Is located at the junction of Parnell street and O'Connell street, apart from being one of the most important figures in Irish history is really well done.

  • This statue stands at the opposite end of O'Connell Street to that of Daniel O'Connell and is a fitting tribute to the memory of Parnell.
  • The Parnell monument stands in the Centre of Dublin at the northern end of O'Connell O'Connell Street. The massive plant was designed in 1910 by the American sculptor Augustus Saint Gaudens. The monument consists of a giant Obelisk of red granite and a bronze sculpture of Parnell, the famous Irish politician. Currently, the plant in the middle of a huge construction site is because the new tram route leads past here. This makes the visit to the monument not just easier. It's huge and monumental but nevertheless.
