Golf Course Outdoor Activity
Visit one of the top courses in Ireland at Doonbeg Golf Club, a golf site designed by two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman. This course runs along a beach and old sand dunes, and you can admire the Atlantic from most of the lawn. The par-72 layout features a single loop of nine holes out and nine back. The most natural routing within the existing dunes resulted in an uncommon combination of five par threes and five par fives. In February 2014, Donald Trump bought the lodge and golf club, and Trump Hotel Collection now manages the Lodge at Doonbeg, which consists of 218 hotel suites, an expansive spa, and several restaurants. Put Doonbeg Golf Club on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Doonbeg trip builder.
