  • This castle was featured in the movie "Ryan's Daughter." the road goes quite close to it, but there is a gate that says private property no trespassing. It is a lovely view on the edge of the water.  more »

  • Cool views from the beach, but this place appears to now be behind a gate with no trespassing signs posted. Was not able to find anyone there to try to get permission... Sad.
  • Lovely location, although beach access is difficult. The castle itself is on private land, and can only be viewed at distance. Still a lovely cove.
  • Cool beach area with a castle overlooking the beach from a nearby hill
  • Beautiful, calm, tranquil, no crowds. An unspoiled beauty.
  • Impressive huge natural storm formed beach and beautiful view. The castle remains are not much and look like part of it might cave in anytime. The history behind it is interesting and my wife and are are thankful we drove out to see it and would recommend this stop to others.

Where to stay in Dingle

Dingle Town represents a relaxed, artistic destination known for having plenty of affordable bed and breakfasts and other specialty accommodations. Many of these cluster right in the town's center, although the town also has a number of hotels, hostels, and other lodging for tourists. Here it's even normal to stumble upon a pub offering accommodation. A more luxurious (and often costly) option for travelers taking in the beauty of this peninsula is to stay in a scenic guesthouse overlooking Dingle Bay, which you can find in or right outside of town.
