Create an itinerary including Coumeenoole Beach
Set against a dramatic backdrop of sheer cliffs, Coumeenoole Beach attracts tourists and locals with its picturesque surroundings and stunning ocean views. The small, secluded strip of golden sand gets even narrower during the high tide. This wild beach is easily accessible from the small parking lot at the top of a cliff. Pay attention to the signboards warning against swimming in the strong currents. You can always dip your feet in one of the shallow pools in the sand. • On A Stormy Day there is nowhere like it . Had it all to myself yesterday because of the county travel limit and no tourists . I could hardly stand with the wind . The head above the beach was used...

  • Beautiful spot. Loved watching the tide rush up the beach and get peoples feet and clothing by surprise. Genuine risk of being cut off here so be careful! Water is so clear and blue, stunning. We walked to the end of the peninsula which is very worthwhile.
  • Slea head drive is a must do..
  • Awesome beach with good view. Love this place so much. Recommended one
  • If you don't spend the extra 20 minutes from Dingle driving here, don't bother coming at all.
  • Iconic beach. Incredibly beautiful. In the top beaches list. Not so safe for swimming though I always get in the water. It's irresistible.
