  • Lot of fun and great for kids. Very friendly and worth a visit before going to queens bar next door.
  • Dalkey Castle is well worth the small admission fee as it is a trip back in time. The staff is in period costume and really know their history. Don't miss it and enjoy a walk around this lovely village.
  • This castle seems really small from outside, but owns a big heart inside! If you're ever near the castle, be sure to check their tour as it is fun for the kids and adults! Ps. Don't say that the crossbow is for killing enemies.
  • Dalkey Castle is the jewel in the historic village of Dalkey. The castle tour I went on was a treat. Our guides were dressed in sumptuous Tudor costumes. The tour was fascinating. History came alive. We were time travelers in the Middle Ages. St Begnet's Church and Graveyard was magical to explore. We explored the writers gallery, featuring the many famous local writers from James Joyce to Maeve Binchy. The scaled models of the Victorian Atmospheric and Funicular Railways and trams are finely featured to scale. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a visit to Dalkey Castle is a brilliant day out for all ages.
  • Take a tour. It is short and sweet.
