  • We were supposed to arrive by boat but on the other side have declared "a technical fault" and couldn't do the whole drive. This castle is to see if we passed, otherwise please leave lose.

  • Ballyhack Castle consists of a single Tower directly in the small village of Ballyhack. What makes the visit of the "castles", is mainly a guided tour through one of the very humorous guides. Certainly not the most beautiful castle in Ireland, sure but certainly one of the best guides I could enjoy.

  • A nice little castle just beside the Passage East and Ballyhack car ferry. Nice little pub next door. Lovely little place to sit on a sunny day watching the world go buy whilst waiting for the ferry  more »

  • Surprised and delighted with the castle and thoroughly enjoyed the tour given by Cian. He was knowledgeable, amusing and personable. Well worth a stop. A short tour but very informative, an excellent history lesson of the area in Norman to Cromwellian times. Very pleased.
  • Cian was our fantastic guide here. There is no admission with free tours and the OPW tour guides are knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. Cian was a delightful human being who gave us a great bit of information with room for silliness and questions along the way. This seems like a small place, but there is a lot here, like the "murder hole." Ha!
  • Well worth a visit.
