  • Barry, who lived as a young boy in Monasterboice, could tell a whole lot. To the crosses, the largest in Ireland, he knew so much to tell, that we could no longer stop in the to listen to. He had a certain glow in his eyes. A cemetery can be so interesting.

  • We visited on a dreary, rainy day. I think it was perfect, it seemed to accentuate the solemnity of the ruins. There is a high tower and three High Crosses, in addition to an active cemetery. Of inter...  more »
