  • The castle is only open via guided tours, so you can't just wander around. Having said that, I certainly recommend the tour. Very informative, taking just the right amount of time. Well worth the smal...  more »
  • This a great tour if you're in Adare during the right time of the year. The groups are small and intimate and the scenery and history are outstanding. Our tour guide was awesome, and she made the tour...  more »
  • I highly recommend taking the Heritage Center tour in Adare to Desmond Castle. Our guide, Sandra, was incredibly knowledgeable and the story of the castle is fascinating. One of the few examples of a ...  more »

  • My husband and I stayed recently for one night and we were both extremely impressed with the hotel. From the lovely greeting we recieved from the staff at the entrance gate, to the friendliness of the reception staff who personally showed us to our bedroom(with the most amazing view). Any staff member we encountered could not have been more helpful. We really felt like we were staying in pure luxury, from the beautiful designs and features in each room, to the top class meal we had in the Gallery. Not to mention the breakfast...Yum! Can honestly say it was the most enjoyable stay we have had in a hotel, for so many different reasons. Well done to all involved. Can not wait for our next visit!
  • The Villas were very large and accommodating. We had four of us but we could have easily slept 7 comfortably. The villa was clean and quiet and the doormen, who honestly were our favorite part of the experience, were some of the nicest humans have ever met. Would absolutely stay again.
  • From the moment you arrive at the gate you are made to feel welcome. Once in we we're meet by Ronan and Katie.. fantastic people. So friendly and approachable throughout our stay. From the rooms to dining to simple walks you could not find better. Completely recommend.
  • The highs and lows of a hugely anticipated visit. .. The welcome we received put us at ease immediately.5 females on their annual get together weekend are not usually silenced but we all looked around in awe. The stonework, the wood , the fireplaces the chandeliers ,the windows........I could go on and on and don't get me started on the downstairs Ladies. It had to be photographed several times..! What was absolutely wonderful was how comfortable it was to be in the midst of all this grandeur. When we got our voices back there was lots of discussion about what to drink and where to sit.. There were so many perfect corners it was hard to choose. But we chose well.. In front of the fire in the drawing room..Perfect view of all of the beautiful decor and the fashion..( Although we would need to have stayed longer to take it all in) Going up the stairs to the Carriage Restaurant gave us a completely different view of the fabulous foyer. Speechless again. The restaurant itself is beautiful. A perfect setting for afternoon tea also. The staff in every section of the building were friendly whilst professional. Gary added hugely to our evening with his sense of humour and helpfulness. Don't forget to go to the Tack Room for a cocktail....another wonderful experience . No need to describe the food other than to say that all five of us found it disappointing...Hopefully it was just a bad night.
  • Spectacular,...Splendid,..Stupendous, and downright Magical, with the friendliest, most accommodating staff that the Irish, and the Irish alone , can provide. Although our stay was just a brief one day...it is a moment in time that will stay forever in our minds as well as our hearts. Hats off to Adare Manor and the entire staff for making your "Castle" truly , our home. Sincerely grateful,...Susan Donnelly Naro and family
