Listen to the drums and fiddles echo off the cliffs on The Dingle Peninsula, a landscape dominated by the Slieve Mish mountain range and rugged coastlines and known for its rich Irish music tradition. Tall, jagged cliffs rise out of the waters, while sandy beaches offer some of the best surfing in Ireland, with certain areas also safe for swimming. • What a beautiful area. If you are in a car (which, unfortunately, we were not) I am told that the road that takes you around the area is challenging but an unforgettable experience. The route that our...  more »
  • Although the weather wasn't the best on our trip to Dingle our group of 12 very much enjoyed the trip around the penisula. The town has a lot to offer and don't forget to visit Fungie the dolphin!  more »

Where to stay in Dingle

Dingle Town represents a relaxed, artistic destination known for having plenty of affordable bed and breakfasts and other specialty accommodations. Many of these cluster right in the town's center, although the town also has a number of hotels, hostels, and other lodging for tourists. Here it's even normal to stumble upon a pub offering accommodation. A more luxurious (and often costly) option for travelers taking in the beauty of this peninsula is to stay in a scenic guesthouse overlooking Dingle Bay, which you can find in or right outside of town.
