  • During my 3rd trip to Ireland, I was traveling with my daughter and three grandchildren ages 1, 2 and 8. So we attempted to find things that would interest the little ones. Kissane Sheep Farm is a wor...  more »
  • I was there in Sept. 2016 - I guess I am slow in the review - but it was fantastic. First, it is set in a spectacular landscape - along the Ring of Kerry (if you can absolutely do this drive). Second,...  more »
  • During our group tour was a visit to Kissane in October 2017 on the program and there everyone had anticipated. Our great trip leader that everything polished, rang for security with the owner to reconfirm the visit. What turned out to be? We were not welcome! There would supposedly no place. When we pass Kissane reason, there was no visitor in sight. Apparently the owner today had no "meaning" in demonstrations. What a letdown and what an unprofessional organization! NOT do, is my advice. There are more places in Ireland where this kind of demonstrations are given.

  • I don't even know where to begin I had no expectations going to the farm but they won me over. Erin and Gwenneth did a phenomenal performance. It was entertaining and interesting. We even got to hold baby lambs and play fetch with Gwenneth. Definitely a highlight of our tour of Ireland.
  • Wonderful place! Well worth your time - perfectly priced!
  • We loved it! It was informative and it's always lovely to see the working dogs. It was far more touristy than we expected though. When we arrived there were 3 coach loads of tourists!
  • This place is absolutely worth it! Call ahead and see if they're doing a tour for a big group cause you can hop in on those. (Min of 15 people required for tour.) They have a fascinating sheep herding exhibition with their sheep dogs and afterwards you watch one guy shear a sheep both with electric clippers and old fashioned shears. The two tour guides are really knowledgeable since this is also their job and they've been sheep farmers since they were boys. They know the history and really care for their sheep. The tours pay for their farm and allow them to raise 2,000 sheep without killing a single one for produce, while also maintaining a charming tradition.
  • No fault of their own but the weather was raining and cold. The dog was amazing! So smart. Smarter than a lot of humans I know.!Border Collies rock!So obedient.
