  • We visited the ruins of abbeys in the late afternoon. N not forgetting the small chapel to the gap leftovers: past the bridge. Worth the trip for fans of the genre. We're both in the village and in the middle of a meadow.

  • We met the OPW caretaker while there and he is an Irishman with a wicked sense of humor but he also is an archeologist and is well informed as to what went on at this Friary and the surrounding area. ...  more »
