  • Fantastic visit to Glenview gardens. So much to see and do. The hobbit house being a real highlight with fab attention to detail. Gardens are fabulous with great variety and lots of different themed areas to visit. Kids loved the fairy trail and the Pygmy goats are just the cutest! Highly recommend a visit - a hidden gem and a very different family day out.
  • A lovely family effort that can be admired closely. Great variety of plants and the hobbit house is creatively made. Its is to admire the effort and dedication that was put into it. Nice and peaceful. The little goats are fun! too!
  • Really enjoyed our visit. Lots of pockets to explore about the gardens. Hens and goats too. Kids enjoyed the search for fairies. The hobbit house really is impressive. Calm atmosphere. Clean loos! Tea and coffee is self service and chocolate vending machine. Buggy friendly. Eat before you go.
  • Nice but not amazing. The hobbit house is really cool and the fairy trail is nice enough but the gardens themselves could do with sprucing up. There was a general feel of neglect about the place which is a real shame as it has so much potential. That said, the kids loved it and the admittance charge didn't break the bank. Make sure to bring a picnic as there is no café and if you can avoid the toilets, do!
  • Had great time with kids, they loved to discover different types of plants 😊 and much more, its so beautiful😍

Where to stay in Cork

A destination in and of itself, Cork City has a dense center with plenty of hotels and hostels. Head north of the city center for affordable options like mid-range hotels and guesthouses. From here, you can walk or bike to all of the sights in the heart of the city. If everything is booked, or if you've simply come to explore the city's surrounding nature, check out the campgrounds about ten minutes from the center of town by car. There are also a number of charming bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, and other pensions in the outskirts, which can be a good option if you're using the city as a base for exploring the sights of Cork County.
