  • Very highly recommended to have a good time with the children, to relax or just to stroll. It is a little away from the Center but it is worth. In summer they also organize events some days (music, etc.)

  • Lovely park ! Has everything you could want, there's a massive playground, Immaculate rose garden, lovely fountain, and sculptures dotted around the park. It's very Well kept, with regular redevelopment, there's a museum and great cafe. Bit remote though, takes over 30mins to get there from the bus station !
  • A beautiful hidden place right in the city centre. Near enough to all necessary amenities that you can wander or picnic in comfort. Gorgeous views, lovely riverside walks and loads of interesting sculptures and historical sites. Worth a visit.
  • Great park for most ages. Very well maintained. Cleaning crew keeps it clean all day.
  • This park is always a good spot to relax in the city whilst chilling by the river. Awesome spot in the winter to see some rad gulls hanging out in the pond. Keep an eye out for the terrapins in the pond too and the occasional visiting otter.
  • Lovely park 15min walk from cork city centre. Great cafe where you can get tea coffee soup and sandwiches. Lovely bird pond to watch the ducks. Fantastic on a sunny day

Where to stay in Cork

A destination in and of itself, Cork City has a dense center with plenty of hotels and hostels. Head north of the city center for affordable options like mid-range hotels and guesthouses. From here, you can walk or bike to all of the sights in the heart of the city. If everything is booked, or if you've simply come to explore the city's surrounding nature, check out the campgrounds about ten minutes from the center of town by car. There are also a number of charming bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, and other pensions in the outskirts, which can be a good option if you're using the city as a base for exploring the sights of Cork County.
