  • Lovely old building on the bank of the river, stands proud. Did not realise it was open to the public as there are no signs to where the entrance is or the opening hours.  more »
  • I think that there are more beautiful monuments in Cork. Nothing exceptional was not us day, maybe night win in beauty

  • City Hall commands a presence on the quays in Cork city. It is a fine stone building which is frequently floodlit in different colours at night which gives great photo opportunities.  more »

  • Architecture delightful and aesthetically pleasing. In terms of quality of service. Well, let's start with the Planning Office. In terms of the planning decisions, had experience of a residential planning decision that was not the in keeping with the council's own various policies and procedures. Felt quite disappointed with this. In terms of Housing Department, the same experience. Policy and procedures not implemented. In terms of Loans Department, same experience, policy and procedures for loans not adhered. Overall, perhaps it's just a reflection on the public sector or local government culture but I feel it lacks a certain level of quality and integrity.
  • Kinsale bay food company had a stand at the cork and Kerry food forum the event was brilliantly originised all stands had good location the weather was very mild and dry and the good people of cork came out in their droves every one was in good form and the food flowed this was an excellent way of business to show case their goods and What an event it was. It went so so well every one was so pleased Thank you to all involved from kinsale bay food company.
  • Never had any issues with getting problems solved.
  • Beautiful architecture on the outside that blends well with the surrounding landscape. Didn't go inside so can't say anything about that.
  • Great place to hold a concert

Where to stay in Cork

A destination in and of itself, Cork City has a dense center with plenty of hotels and hostels. Head north of the city center for affordable options like mid-range hotels and guesthouses. From here, you can walk or bike to all of the sights in the heart of the city. If everything is booked, or if you've simply come to explore the city's surrounding nature, check out the campgrounds about ten minutes from the center of town by car. There are also a number of charming bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, and other pensions in the outskirts, which can be a good option if you're using the city as a base for exploring the sights of Cork County.
