  • I'm from cork and go to Fort Camden every year.on a fine day the views are breathtaking. aftercward's down to the fun fair in crosshaven. good day out
  • Once you enter Crosshaven you ll see the beautiful harbour. Have breakfast or lunch or coffe and cake at Riverview Cafe. Walk up to Fort Camden using the scenic route or alternatively drive up Camden ...  more »
  • The volunteers have done a great restoration job. There are lots of interesting items to view and, as a bonus, you get great views of Cork harbour. Well worth a visit.

  • This is a great spot. The effort from volunteers has increased the amount of space and buildings that are open to the public. The gunpowder store has splendid brick arch ceilings and a beautiful stone spiral staircase. The knowledge and enthusiasm of the volunteers is visible. There are magnificent views of Cork Harbour from many parts if the complex but nothing beats sitting down on the deck outside the coffee shop which serves gorgeous cakes and buns.
  • Spent a lovely afternoon there yesterday.Very interesting and admission price is so reasonable.Great credit due to the volunteers there. They are most polite and knowledgeable.Would recommend Camden for a visit, and will return there next year God willing. Thank you.
  • Very interesting. Run by knowledgeable volunteers. Being renovated over time so there should be new buildings to see in the future. In 2016 open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays from June 4th to September 11th 2016. Last Entry is strictly 45 minutes before closing time.
  • Well worth a visit even if you are not all that interested in history. The views are fantastic, the coffee shop is good and the overall experience is fabulous. There's really nothing else like this in the country.
  • Fort Maher is a fascinating place to explore- full of history and some cool artefacts. I'd love if they moved towards more effective 3D multimedia experiences but politics usually means that unimaginative, badly-appointed people run the show. That said, the tour guides who work there are great! Very friendly and knowledgable.
