Cobh Heritage Centre The Queenstown Story
At Cobh Heritage Centre The Queenstown Story, you can learn about Irish history and daily life during the 18th and 19th centuries. The Queenstown Experience features exhibits about Irish history, including emigration, the Great Irish Famine, and the RMS Titanic. The Titanic's final stop was in Cobh, which was formerly called Queenstown. Once you have finished touring the museum, relax at the cafe or browse one of the two gift shops. The museum is attached to the Cobh railway station and is a favorite stop for cruise ship visitors. Had a great couple of hours in this venue, staff lovely and very friendly, and was fun following the person named on your tickets' journey.

Day 1: We arrived at the Queenstory heritage centre, we firstly looked in the little gift shop. Then we asked the retail assistant ‘are you still open’ she replied yes. Then I went to the reception...

A very interesting and varied visit. The conditions on board emigrant ships were brought to life memorably, as are the stories of the Titanic and Lusitania The coffee shop in the station building is very pleasant. Would definitely recommend

It was a very entertaining visit for me. They had live music on - a choir. It was a bit difficult to listen to the thing on exhibition though. There was also smell of cabbage coming from the kitchen. I guess it only adds to the environment of Irish culture. The on-street parking was free everywhere in town in April 2022.

It's great to see the return of the cruise ships. Cobh is very welcoming which ever way you travelled by road, rail or by water. So much to see so give it plenty of time.
-
This is a 'must see' place! It's fantastic. The tour is so well laid out & so informative, the staff are so good, so helpful, they help make the visit so worthwhile. Well done to you all - we'll definitely be back!
-
Very informative. I liked how the museum was laid out. My toddler was not interested at all. Staff were very good.
