Enjoy coastal views along the smooth, sandy shores of Inchydoney Beach. This small island features beaches with a backdrop of dunes and was given the international Blue Flag award by the Foundation for Environmental Education. Head to this spot, just a short distance from Clonakilty, for a day of relaxation or recreation. The beach has its own surf school that welcomes both beginners and more experienced surfers. Meander along the seaside, take in rugged coastal views, and, if you would like to stay overnight, look into the nearby Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa overlooking the shoreline. Awesome place. My favourite beach in county Cork...with a lovely golden sans. It is huge and there is space for anyone. There are showers ans toilets available for the public. There are also lifeguards.Definitely a not-to-be-missed place in good weather conditions when sun breaks out in a hot summer weekend like this one in July 2022. Go...you won't be disappointed. Believe me. Ps there are also stands that sells food, ice cream, water, coffee.. etc...plus an hotel. It is great for everyone who loves the ocean and its amazing wild atmosphere and its nature.

Beautiful, popular, and large beach. Due to the amount of visitors on a fine day, trying to park can be a bit of handful, so try and arrive there early to avoid the rush and frustration! We arrived at 8.00am before the clouds lifted which was perfect. As we left after 12.00pm, it had gotten very busy. Very clean beach, very little jellyfish and lots of white sand to chill out and soak up the rare bit of sun we get! Perfect for a family day out.

Love, love, love it here. Get here early to get parking. The beach is stunning and spotless. There's plenty of vans selling coffee and pizza etc. There's toilets and showers which are very handy. Outdoor showers to wash all the sand off. And of course Inchydoney hotel is right on the beach and the perfect place to go for lunch. We sat outside and they allowed our dog to sit with us. Would highly recommend
