Where to stay in Clifden

The authentic charms of Clifden are best experienced while staying in the center of this seaside town. Here you will find several places to spend the night, from upscale hotels to quaint bed and breakfasts. For a more typical Irish experience, opt for the latter. Backpackers generally head for the town's hostels, while travelers with a larger budget often stay at the 19th-century castle-turned-hotel. If price is not a concern, look into renting a traditional Irish home.

  • The view at the top is stunning and definitely worth diverting to see. There are no facilities bar a parking area and can be very windy. Its possible to see fit miles on a clear day.  more »
