  • This place is barely mentioned in the guides... We stopped for 5 minutes at the most... we stayed more than 3 hours... a wonderful walk in the middle of the wilderness... a bog. Signs over the course explain what was the first transatlantic transmission station. Installed here because it had the fuel to produce electricity and there is peat! We also see the monument of aviators Alcock and Brown... Come here rather than visiting the national park of the Connemara... here by too many tourists... On the other hand... don't stay in the parking lot should not be afraid to walk many kilometres... Masi attention is not at all beside the Sky Road!

  • Fabulous walk, amazing bogland, in awe of the achievement of Alcock and Brown and the shock they must've got landing in this bog.
