Built over 1,000 years ago and more than twice the size of a regular fort, Caherconnell is the only fort in the Burren scientifically excavated and developed for tourism. With walls that are 12 feet thick and from 6-14 feet high, this cashel is an exceptionally well preserved example of the stone forts or ringforts, which are to be found in the west of Ireland

    Fun to see the man whistle to the dogs what they need to do. A great visit with a family. Nice interaction with the crowd and not expensive to see. Good demonstration! Loved it!

    The stone fort and the history is neat, but the sheep dog demonstrations are the best! Do not miss the opportunity to see that. It was hilarious, fun, and impressive.

    Good Place for some coffee, Nice personel. Prices for the diverse kind of cake and pie we're a bit too high in my opinion.

    A good historical centre. Archeological dig in progress. The centre explains about the various hamlets, a stone circle which encompasses various small dwellings, the animals also lived in at night. There is a centre where u can watch a audio visual presentation. Cafe and toilets are at the entrance.

    This time only had time to use the cafe. Coffee and sandwiches were delicious. Menu included cakes and cheeses were on sale. Irish shop on site with Irish knits and gifts. Plenty of parking and toilets.
