Castle
Offering visitors a chance to attend a genuine medieval banquet, Bunratty Castle hosts four-course dinners accompanied by traditional harp, pipe, and fiddle music. Located on the site of an old Viking settlement, the hulking castle houses a vast collection of medieval furniture and art, which you can explore on your own or as part of a guided tour. The adjoining folk park boasts over 30 reconstructed buildings, including a forge, pub, post office, and blacksmith's shop. As you stroll through this replica of a 19th century Irish village, look for costumed actors demonstrating traditional jobs and crafts. • Definitely worth a visit. Fabulous part of history. This castle has more artifacts of its period, than any other castle in Europe. The folk park nearby was great for all too. Great day out overall.  more »

  • A wonderful, sweet, friendly, authentic place! Delores is incredibly kind and hospitable. We were treated like royalty and felt like family. Amazing family business. I would recommend it to any of my loved ones. Great experience of the Irish loveliness!
  • Very well kept property, that was at one time the home of nuns. Many rooms, well furnished. Small but functional bath rooms with showers only. The showers are quite high, which added some challenge in washing our young daughter. The owners are wonderful, and were very accommodating. We booked the same day and arrived late, and were treated very nicely. Delores was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was among the nicest we have eaten in Ireland. The B&B is a one minute drive from Bunratty castle, and the Durty Nelly pub & restaurant. We should have planned an entire day for the castle and folk grounds.
  • Delores is delightful. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Will definitely return.
  • The two night stay at Bunratty Castle Mews was truly an experience that my entire family enjoyed. We traveled with my son and his family requiring three rooms and the accomodations were perfect. We did some traveling and Dolores took care of all us each night superbly. The Irish breakfast each morning was very ample and all six of us had our preferences satisfied. Beyond that, Dolores went out of way to assist us in a special task. We ended our stay ,by Dolores stating that "we had a friend in Ireland" and nothing was closer to the truth. Great stay.
  • Nice place, themed accommodation, extremely welcoming host.
