  • Went here on a fabulous sunny Sunday afternoon with my husband, 2 sons (8yrs old & 3yrs old). The walk down to the admission gate was an adventure on its own with sheep.. donkeys in the side fields. G...  more »

  • Genuinely interesting and well worth a visit. Sure it's not polished but you can't beat genuinely interesting and enthusiastic staff. It's first and foremost a sanctuary for animals (mostly raptors) but they put on a very engaging display. Sure we would all prefer these beautiful animals not to be captive but when there's really no alternative i think they do a great job
  • Very entertaining as well as instructive. Don't mistake this for some kind of circus, the animals are treated with respect and dignity. We went there in April 2017 so very few people were around for the actual flying show and we thus got the VIP treatment. Very recommendable!
  • Genuinely Phenomenal! We had a day out here and I will definitely be back. The show is breathtaking with birds of prey flying over your head - so close that their feathers brush you! Superbly presented, entertaining and there is also a chance to hold and feed these breath-takingly beautiful animals. The show is also informative. This place is a sanctuary with well trained staff, the owners are former university lecturers. They have a passion for these creatures and their place in Ireland's ecosystem. Shocking facts are learnt as part of the show (e.g., there are 40 pairs of breeding Barn Owls left in the entire country!). This is NOT a zoo or similar. I cannot recommend highly enough. Small parking to the front of the site with a short walk up to the entrance and house.
  • Great day out for young n old - birds of pray mixed with rabbetts n farm with a spectacular show by their handler
  • OK this place is tiny; You will be finished in under an hour...but this place gets 5 stars from me because it's one of the few places where animals and birds are roaming around noticeably happy. The staff are as friendly as the animals are!
