  • Galloping on the white beach, along the ocean, on the back of a beautiful Connemara Pony, is a ' once in a lifetime experience ' .... After fifteen years my daughter the chance can also give this to do with it, was great ... Thank you An. .. and see you soon, as the youngest daughter also can! PS: great horses in super form, provided by the hosts, ... After 15 years saw ' Danny Boy ' still there great!

  • My grandaughter who goes horse riding wanted to canter along the beach so my daughter booked this in advance. It was just magical for her. There were approx 12 people of all abilities and all ages in ...  more »
  • Very nice ride on beautiful beaches. Completely suitable for beginners. We were with 2 young French instructors very friendly, attentive and passionate with what they were doing. Children and parents are thrilled with this little ride on the beaches of Connemara!

  • My wife and I had a great morning here on our honeymoon. We were greeted immediately and we had a wonderful ride along the beach. I am an incredibly inexperienced rider and the horse I was riding was very nice and I was comfortable the entire time. The guides helped us get pictures and made sure we were very comfortable. We had a great time!
  • Our son had a great ride out along the beaches for two hours, the group was of mixed ability – and it was split between 3 leaders – so that he could get the most out of the ride. It is the second time he has been here. Only one negative thing the time it takes from arrival to mounting to riding is a long time, perhaps 30 minutes – but he did ride for the 2hrs we had paid for – on both occasions. The Irish gentleman owner is of few words but knows his stuff, the lady is more verbal and I believe speaks a number of languages. Well worth it – especially if you are looking for an Irish beach ride. Location wise – it is beyond Connemara Golf Course – next to the caravan site. When coming out of Clifden turn right at the split at Ballyconneely (just past the shop which is on your right) – and after a few miles turn right again towards the golf course.
  • Loved it! Amazing and unforgetable experience. Friendly staff and Sean the guide. Fantastic horses and place.
  • Great ride on the beach.
  • awesome beach view from horse back

Where to stay in Clifden

The authentic charms of Clifden are best experienced while staying in the center of this seaside town. Here you will find several places to spend the night, from upscale hotels to quaint bed and breakfasts. For a more typical Irish experience, opt for the latter. Backpackers generally head for the town's hostels, while travelers with a larger budget often stay at the 19th-century castle-turned-hotel. If price is not a concern, look into renting a traditional Irish home.
