Ballybunion Golf Club, Ballybunion

(4.6/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
President Bill Clinton and professional golfer Tom Watson have played Ballybunion Golf Club, one of the best link courses in the world. Though its location in southeastern Ireland makes it a difficult course to get to, many think the natural beauty of this golf destination makes the trip worth it. This historic club was founded in 1893 and offers two courses, the Old Course and Cashen Course. The Old Course was home to the Irish Open of the 2000 European Tour. You can book a day to play on one or both of these two famous courses. Put Ballybunion Golf Club into our Ballybunion trip itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Did not receive first class service today. No caddys avalible, grumpy starter because the golf course was behind setting up our group. Marshall came out to drop off a caddy then that didn't happen. So no caddy all day. But still A FUN course, caddy would have help quite a bit as there are some tricky holes and greens to read.
  • Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous but tough. Would return to Ireland again just to play this course.
  • Awesome views and layout. New greens are slow as he'll and suck.
  • Absolutely beautiful golf course- the only negative is the condition of the new greens. Once they bed in properly it will be on a par with the best in the country
  • My favorite round of golf I've ever played. What a beautiful place. And I did OK, on my first time there, somehow. The golf gods don't take prisoners, but sometimes, they smile on us, and they gave us this place.
