  • When they are near passo always to pay a visit to this small workshop and never regret it. Every time I propose some new taste like chocolate or citrus or spicy white salted caramel. Stand out also for the kindness and the number of samples ... maybe because in the off season. The circuitous route is well rewarded.

  • We love Skelligs chocolate, the factory off will always visit when we are in Ireland (some things there only there and not online order!) and also at home, we eat the chocolate yourself or give them away. The cinnamon chocolate balls, which actually meant for hot chocolate, but too cold to enjoy are (I'm afraid I already wrote something similar in an earlier review, but it is the case; fact - still -) are particularly popular with family and friends. Like, we like the range of Christmas and wanted to order so this year in good time before Christmas chocolate. We did this before the Christmas order deadline (more or less with the guarantee that the chocolate is in Germany before Christmas Eve), however she only reached us on the 28.12 and was therefore unfit as a gift (which not so tragic is, but somewhat embarrassing, if you had planned it out as a gift). Therefore I recommend to everyone in Germany: order in time before Christmas, i.e. at least 14 days before Christmas! Unfortunately, namely - as almost all Irish companies sent Skelligs chocolate! -about London. Where the package was around nearly a week at the airport, before it was transported to Germany... You could almost tend to say that Ireland is an independent hopefully after the Brexit (even though I personally not good this!) and just sent abroad via Dublin or Portlaoise (from where the packages are flown to London). At the last visit the Café was open - after we were always outside Café hours from Easter until approximately October (?) on the spot. The hot chocolate was really fantastic and almost not alone to grab (less sugar...). Definitely worth a visit, chocolate and scenery.

  • We went here in August 2014 (This date wasn't available on the list below as it was soooo long ago)! It was perfectly placed halfway round the Ring of Kerry as if that wasn't beautiful enough on it's ...  more »

  • As soon as you arrive you can see the chocolate being made. The staff are very friendly and are happy to give you a free tasting tour of their chocolate flavours. The cafe serves great coffee and of course delicious fresh hot chocolate. A great place to visit no matter what the weather.
  • Lovely and very friendly little factory with beautiful chocolate. Also nice to place to sit down for tea/coffee/hot chocolate with the best scones :-) My daughter said that the strawberry hot chocolate was her best.
  • It was too foggy to see much on the Skellig Ring the day we drove it, but the free samples and friendly service at Skelligs Chocolate made the drive worth it. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but this stuff is so good I wanted to take home a suitcase full of it! A must-visit if you're out that way.
  • Fantastic, great outdoor and indoor seating, loads of parking, very friendly staff. The raspberry and coconut chocolate and orange brittle are gorgeous.
  • The free taststig is a nice offer. The chocolate is nice but Far from outstanding.
