Theme Park
Have a family fun day at Tayto Park, an amusement park centered around one of the country's most popular brands of chips and popcorn. Opened in 2010, the park features a zoo where you can come face-to-face with unusual farm animals, including miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, Ouessant sheep, and Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs. Other family-friendly attractions include rock-climbing walls, mechanical bull rides, live puppet shows, and face-painting activities. Take a self-guided factory tour to see the popular potato chips made from start to finish, and then visit the park's teahouse, built into a giant sycamore tree and serving tea, coffee, light snacks, and homemade ice cream. With our world travel planner, Ashbourne attractions like Tayto Park can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Excellent day out. Watch out for the clear weather to make most fun out of the day. Lots of animals and bords to walk around and visit. The train was very brief and would be more interesting if it went around more of the park. The factory was a let down but you do get free Tayto as you leave the park at the end of the day. As you would expect the shops are expensive but all in all a must do if you are near Ashburn. Fun, family and friends a great day out.
  • The park itself was grand and the staff we're friendly. My son enjoyed his visit. I would have rated it 4stars only for the animal enclosures! They were tiny... There were huge birds on display in tiny cages they couldn't even take a short flight in. All the animals we're so depressed and the wild cat cages we're full of catnip hedges! Are the staff there specifically trying to keep the cats stoned and placated so they wouldnt go out of their minds in their tiny cages? It really made me sick. The park would be perfectly fine without the animals and even could be replaced with stuffed animals won't make much difference!
  • Good venue for a family day out. Interesting variety of attractions to keep kids entertained. Limited number of funfair rides which means at peak times there can be queues for over an hour for some rides. Best to take a packed lunch especially of you have a large party with you as added extras and food quickly add up
  • Some good rides here. 4d cinema can be skipped unless you enjoy making fun of that type of thing.
  • Fantastic place for all generations. Plenty to do, see and partake in. Highly recommend this place for a great day out. I have been several times and I can confirm you cannot be bored here. More rides added each year and even a circus to enjoy. The staff are efficient, helpful and obviously love their jobs. Very clean and the food in the restaurants are first class and if you don't want to eat indoors there are picnic areas. Plenty of rest areas, toilet facilities and play parks. Love it and will continue to go back as often as I can - keep up the good work.😊😊😊😊😊
