  • We made a slight detour to see the Aasleagh Falls, located on the River Erriff just before it enters Killary Harbour, a fjord located on the Mayo/Galway border. The scene was quite picturesque with...  more »
  • Lovely to see waterfalls and the Aasleagh falls are well worth a visit! Didn’t see any salmon leaping as we did many years ago!  more »
  • We stopped here yesterday early afternoon with our 2 small kids & parked in the car park around the corner from the falls. We left the car for about 5 minutes and came back to a slashed tyre. It...  more »

  • As a committed waterfall enthusiast, I had an experience of Heaven-like ecstasy as I gazed longingly at this wonder of nature. Had I a thousand lives, I would be glad to spend each one on this Falls welcoming banks. The sight of leaping salmon simply added a shiver of magic to an already enchanting scene. I am considering moving to this exact location, safe in the knowledge that I can live out my life in sheer amazement.
  • Lovely views .majestic mountains, ancient Scot pines, remnants of the lazy beds where potatoes were grown in the 1800s by the local people to feed their families. Historic, evocative of past generations who lived here or died of hunger or emigrated..
  • Excellently run and staff managing fishery very friendly and helpful. The fishery itself is worth a visit just for the scenery, full of migrating Salmon on my visit, unfortunately wrong conditions for fly angling, glorious sun.
  • This is a lovely place to photograph or just to enjoy the scenery. There are good walks either side of the falls. If its a lovely day like the day I visited then you will have a ball. Its a popular tourist attraction so get up early and be there early that way you will have it all to yourself. The waters are powerful and there are plenty of places to set up a tripod and get whatever type of photos you enjoy. parking is doggy as this is on a bend so be careful. its well worth a visit. why not put it on your to do list now. Cheers
  • Not comparable to any good sized falls you would have usually expected.. but possibly a good place to walk in-between the rocks through the water from the falls :)
