Built on the site of Saddam Hussein's former military base and detention camp, Sami Abdulrahman Park draws scores of locals for relaxation and recreation. Favored by families and wedding parties, the park boasts rolling green lawns, lakes with fountains, rose gardens, children's playgrounds, and a small amphitheater.
