Harmonic, huge and impressive. A Symphony of blue distributed in thousands of ways from the entrance to the minrah. At night it glows and is pleasant to look at it from some of the restaurants with terraces on the roof

The best place in Iran. And if it is the best place in Iran, it is the best place in Yazd, too. It is situated in the enter of Yazd. It is between Amir Chakhmagh and Alexander's Prison. I used to go there every month while I was staying in Yazd. You may get tired of the other places in Yazd, but this wonderful mosque will enchant you every time you visit it. Its minarets are beautiful...while watching Yazd's wonderful ladnscape, you will see them. Its ornaments are wonderfully beautiful, enchanting in their simplicity. Its dome is wonderful. You can watch it for a long time while standing under it. You can sit in front of its huge doors and watch the people entering or exiting the mosque. The blue color of the mosque will calm your mind. Just try to admire its walls covered with delicate ornaments. You will see the mosque's Shamse, which is a round ornament and which became one of the symbols of my desert-city Yazd. P.S. Try to find the Swastika signs on its walls and under its dome. P.S.2 God bless Seyed Rokn Al-Din for giving us this wonderful mosque!

There is a bookshop just at the right handed side of the entrance. The only staff at the shop is an English speaking old man(super rude and unfriendly, no wonder I was the only customer) who most of the time is snoozing but once he wakes up, you would know what the very opposite of Iranian hospitality is. Books are overpriced and the quality not so good. For example, a hard cover travel book costs you more than 25euros and the Shahnemeh sold at this shop is but an abridged version(less than 200 pages!) Save your time and go straight for the mosque.
