Dowlat Abad Garden, Yazd

(4.1/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Surrounded by Yazdi architecture, Dowlat Abad Garden features cypress and pomegranate trees, grapevines, and a long pool. Surrounding the garden is a series of buildings from the Zandieh era. Pay special attention to the massive wind trapper, which at 33 m (108 ft) high remains the central architectural piece of this attraction. Because of its landscaped design and irrigation system, this garden serves as an important oasis in the middle of an arid desert. Plan your visit to Dowlat Abad Garden and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Yazd vacation generator.

  • I wasn't really that impressed by these gardens - the Eram gardens in Shiraz are certainly better. These gardens just seem a little run down and lacking in care. Nice enough, but could be a lot better...  more »

  • One of the most beautiful Iranian garden and UNESCO world heritage sites in Iran.
  • It's nice garden with colorful windows in the house and tall wind tower. It's free today. But the gate is quite hard to find.
