Dolat-Abad Garden, Yazd

4.1
#4 of 68 in Parks in Iran
Garden Nature / Park
Surrounded by Yazdi architecture, Dolat-Abad Garden features cypress and pomegranate trees, grapevines, and a long pool. Surrounding the garden is a series of buildings from the Zandieh era. Pay special attention to the massive wind trapper, which at 33 m (108 ft) high remains the central architectural piece of this attraction. Because of its landscaped design and irrigation system, this garden serves as an important oasis in the middle of an arid desert. Plan your visit to Dolat-Abad Garden and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Yazd vacation generator.

Where to stay in Yazd

Yazd offers visitors plenty of choice when it comes to accommodation, with hotels and guesthouses mostly scattered around the streets that make up the Old Town. For an authentic experience, you can choose one of the increasingly popular hotels situated in converted traditional houses. Designed in a typical Persian style, the lodgings boast peaceful courtyards, where you can hang out and sample local drinks and dishes. The traditional hotels usually offer both private and dormitory style rooms, while a couple of affordable modern hotels provide cozy, clean rooms, free wifi, and other basic amenities.

  • I adore this place! I love is so much that I spent my birthday there. The place is very charming. Its beauty is in its simplicity. And yes, this garden is not like Eram garden in Shiraz which is decorated very lavishly. It's a very simple place. And that's what makes it beautiful! Its windcatcher is the tallest in Iran. And if it's the tallest in Iran, then it's the tallest on Earth. The garden has small fountains and among those fountains there are tall trees. You can escape from Yazd's heath by taking shelter in this cool place. The place has stained windows called orsi. You have to sit there and admire its beauty for hours. P.S. don't forget to stand under the tallest windcatcher on Earth. The wind will relax you in an unusual way!
