US Den of Espionage, Tehran

#7 of 17 in Historic Sites in Tehran
See where the Iranian hostage crisis took place during the 1979 Iranian Revolution at US Den of Espionage, today painted with colorful anti-American murals. Back then, a revolutionary guard took hold of the former embassy and used it as a training center. Today, the guard still looks after the building, which now houses a library and a museum--both closed to the public except on rare occasions. At the entrance, inspect the severely damaged but still-standing U.S. seal. The murals, funded by the Iranian government to suggest the political alliance between America and Israel, depict a grotesque skull-faced Statue of Liberty and the U.S. Capitol topped by the Israeli flag. • 1979, the Islamic revolution was born. The 蘺 of Dorothy's film, we all have a great 蘺. Most of the opium are black American and like-colored columns. You can see it in the Czech Republic. It's just that the sidewalk refuses to 蘺, and it's not appropriate. The circumference is also very good to play the car. Inside exhibition 攬 is interested to go, the ticket is slightly expensive.

Where to stay in Tehran

The northern districts of Tehran possess a more suburban, cosmopolitan feel, and a more spacious form, with a number of accommodations geared towards international tourism. Luxury hotels with pools overlooking the parks sit alongside some more basic and humble offerings, usually located on the lesser side streets. The southern districts offer a livelier experience, where guesthouses, hostels, and simple hotels line the confusing bundle of winding streets. Of course, some areas of the south open up a little, and here you'll find a good number of standard and mid-range hotels with varying levels of amenities.
