  • The whole complex can be very crowded, best to avoid the weekends and the first snow days, then you have even a chance at a parking lot! -The traffic routing to the valley station is Iranian illogical, but somehow it is found. Then it goes to (the Iranians call it incomprehensibly station 1, 2, 5 and 7) line and a total of 4 stations by cable car over a total of 7500 m height of 1900 m above for approximately €9 (without ski-pass) in about 45 minutes. You must not even change at station 2, because the gondola over a rail on the next rope is inserted, then you have to change 2 x briefly. The view is terrific, it's worth even with the usual haze over Tehran. The Iranians call this gondola lift (opened shortly before the 1979 revolution) as the world's longest, there but much longer. Even the railway on the Kleine Matterhorn is with 8800 m longer. From the summit station (3740 m) must you down again with the chair lift in the next Valley on 3545 m (running over the track is prohibited), there is a "lodge", the law respectable Hotel Tochal (that is all wrong for TA!) with very, very simple gastronomy. Here, too, the Iranians is wrong when he described this hotel as the highest of the world. This honor comes the Everest view hotel in Namcha Bazar, Nepal (3962 m). The ski area up here is well developed with two chair lifts (draglifts), the slopes are quite simply... If you stay on it. There are a very large, rustic cabin, at the station "5" at the top but unbewirtschaftet and dirty is. A "just-food" is on the lower floor. All in all: because of the great views and good air "very good".
