Holy Shrine of Emam Khomeini, Tehran

Categories: Monuments, Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.1/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
See the power of unity in grief at Holy Shrine of Emam Khomeini, a holy shrine built solely from financial gifts of the public and different organizations. The construction took time; 40 days after Imam Khomeini's death, only the burial chamber and grave itself existed. Admire the 8 m (26 ft) tall dome surrounded by four minarets which radiates modern dignity. The intricate stained-glass windows paint the burial chamber in different colors, contributing to the beauty of the building. Put Holy Shrine of Emam Khomeini and other Tehran attractions into our Tehran family vacation planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Think edgy, because it is the mausoleum of Khomeini great excitement in the air when a bucolic atmosphere and to find out why lots of tents strung, so enjoy a picnic in the family total putting out. And it came from Japan, and they "Welcome to Iran!" And asked to shake hands with a smile. Will there tense and oppressive atmosphere of holy places is totally insensitive. It is so here is was I disappointed.

  • The mausoleum dedicated to Khomeini is a beautiful place, Center of pilgrimage of the faithful, where people go to pray and pay homage to the leader of the Islamic revolution in the country.
