Bazaar of Tabriz, Tabriz

4.3
Shop with the locals at Bazaar of Tabriz, the oldest bazaar in the Middle East listed as a World Heritage Site. The world's oldest roofed bazaar sits along the Silk Road occupying several interconnected brick buildings, corridors, and central courtyards (Caravanserais). Refreshingly cold in the summer and comfortably warm in the winter, its alleys are lined with stores selling traditional Iranian goods, such as Persian carpets, golden jewelry, shoes, dried fruit, spices, etc. The market is also used in religious ceremonies and for political gatherings. • I've seen the most bazaars in the country, but this is the most beautiful, labyrinthischste, parts (where the Bazaar Segente by Gates separated are) the most authentic. And only the carpet Bazaar! It's elegant, after 17 h you no longer meet the Lords, one is well aware of the market power, now even producing the best pieces of throughout the region for centuries. What there is and depends on, is impressive. Here mussman settle time, pick up the best a guide, to enable the seeping effect and discovering unknown delights.

  • Tabriz bazzar is a UNESCO world Heritage site and one of the few major touristic places in Iran which is still used by local people for trade. Visit bazaar and you will see how local people trade, what they regularly buy. Enjoy a meal in one of the simple, inexpensive restaurants where usually shop owners and local people eat. In Bazaar, you can see the intact authenticity and originality of eastern culture and travel back in time.
  • Very nice place. For carpets visit Bazar between 10 am and 1 pm best. Most caravansaries close between 5 and 6 pm.
  • It's amazing with wonderful architecture! You should know about the history & art of architecture to enjoy!
  • Being an important trading posts of the Silk Road, Tabriz is famed with its millennium old bazaar, which is listed as UNESCO world heritage. The bazaar is like a labyrinth and divided into different themed bazar like shoes, jewellery, spices, carpets and so. It is a place full of colour and odour.
  • You go Tabriz, you go Grand Bazaar, its just simple logic. This is one of the biggest & oldest bazaars in the world, as i know. Anything you like from Azerbaijan you can find on this Bazaar.
