#3 of 6 in Things to do in Mashhad
In the peaceful atmosphere of a lush garden, see the relics of a monarch at Nadir Shah Afshar's Tomb. Nestled in the middle of the second most populous city in Iran, you can suddenly find yourself away from the rush in a calm green oasis. Enter the stone building where the ruler’s body is buried, which also serves a museum displaying documents and artifacts from the 18th century, the period of his rule. Atop the museum and tomb building stands an equestrian statue depicting the Shah holding an axe, the work of renowned Iranian sculptor Abolhassan Sadighi. • If you are lover of history & fond of brave personalities then Tomb of Nader Shah is good place to be visited other wise, you can skip your visit as it can be boring for you. Nader Shah is also known as Nepoleon of Persia who fought many wars in different regions including Armenia, Caucasus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan & Hindustan etc. His tomb also contains tiny museum which contains few Helmets, Weapons & Clothes mostly used by Nader Shah & his army. Enterance fee is quite expensive indeed.
  • he is the great turk king who belongs to turkic tribe " avshar" one of oghuz tribes
  • Interesting building designed by famous iranian architect "Hooshang Seyhoon" and the great statue designed by renowned sculptor "Abolhasan Sedighi".
  • This place is not worth to visit at all. For foreigner, they asked 150000 Rial which is 6 times expensive than local people. And only has a 15 square meter mini museum .In side the museum, you can see 10 pieces of old axes, sword, and 2 books, 1 small canon ,1 armor, and that all....
  • باغ نادری, مشهد it's very nice place to go.
