Tagh E Bostan, Kermanshah
Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Explore Tagh E Bostan, an archeological park with several large rock reliefs set into two big and one small arch. The reliefs date from the Sassanin period (226-650 CE) and depict several rulers-- Ardoshir II, Shapur II, Shapur III, and Khosran II. Visit this part of an ancient caravan route on the Silk road and see the carvings about religion, war glory and honor, games, and festivities. You will find a sacred spring in the base of the cliff that flows into a pool. To visit Tagh E Bostan on your trip to Kermanshah, use our Kermanshah trip itinerary planner.
