Agha Bozorg Mosque, Kashan

(4.2/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
Visit Agha Bozorg Mosque to admire one of the finest examples of Islamic religious architecture in the country. Ever since it was built in the 19th century, the mosque has served as a place where believers can pray in peace and listen to the teachings of religious elders, with one part of the site serving as a theological school for those who want to join the clergy. Walk around the colorful garden and enjoy views of the symmetrical buildings, with decorated walls and doors, and the two minarets. Unfortunately, you can visit only the mosque, not the school. With our online itinerary creator, Kashan attractions like Agha Bozorg Mosque can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Cool place, especially in the evening when the light effect is brilliant. Great subject for pictures. The Mosque is no longer working but there is no fee. Recommended!
  • It is no longer a functioning Mosque now but it is still worth to explore. The architecture is wonderful and special. The Mosque has a sunken floor, which is a school now. The local people play football or volleyball inside the Mosque.
  • Beautiful mosque in desert city. Free of charge, you can go into it freely.
  • Beautiful at night
