  • It is perhaps the closest mosque visited by tourists in the country. Impressive, rich, pleasant to visit without haste. Some areas require maintenance, others are beautifully preserved and restored

  • An absolute masterpiece of art and architecture that words are unable to describe. One must go and understand what was and still is Persia.
  • Even if it is only the third nicest mosque that we saw in Esfahan. You can walk from here through the Bazaar to the main square with lots of interesting stops on the way. Just not on a Friday when 95%...  more »

  • Maybe not the most beautiful religious building in Isfahan but definitely it is a top one. Visit it on Friday after 11 and before 14 when the courtyard is open and it is free! In this case you can see most of the place for free. If you want to see the interiors price is 200.000 rials.
  • The 1000 year old Jameh mosque of Isfahan is attached to the Grand Bazaar of Isfahan. The mosque is very big so It's better to Know the attractions before visiting it. In “Sultan Uljeitu” Shabestan, there is a wonderful stucco Mihrab and a wooden carved Minbar. Don't miss them! Also on the north and southern side of the mosque there are two beautiful brick domes. The mosque is open from 9AM to 7PM and the entry price for foreign visitors is about 250,000 IRR. It also worth to pay a guide to show you the hidden rooms and tombs.
  • The Friday Mosque may looked similar to other grand mosques in Iran. However, if you go inside, you will find out that it was so special that it was built in different era and you can see the differences. It is the largest mosque in Iran and not many tourists come here. Entrance is around US$5.
  • Very nice, very beautiful Sure go to here
  • The simplicity of this mosque offers a certain grandeur! A must-see
