  • Ali Qapu means "Lofty Gate". It is one of the landmarks of Naqsh-e Jahan square. The inside of the building is lavishly decorated. You can see big corridors, a music hall inside. The best part of this place is its huge veranda. The whole Isfahan is visible from this place. Ali Qapu is a must-see place if you are travelling in Isfahan.
  • The former concert hall of the emperor. In the lower floors not very spectacular, but the higher you climb the stairs, the more difficult it becomes to close your mouth in amazement. The magnificent ceiling design in the concert halls is truly breathtaking. A must see!
  • Artistic monument from 17th. century that visitors could see Persian art and how glory was this palace! This palace has 6 floors that in the 3rd. floor there is a terrace with a fantastic view on Naqsh-e Jahan square, that king and his guest look at ceremonies that were held before. The most beautiful part that takes breath from everyone is the music hall, if you want to have chance the amazing architecture of Persia you should take long stairs the spinning staircase to reach to the awesome and artistic musc hall. In the hall the artist used stucco to make some holes with dish. ware design on the wall to have an acoustic hall for olating musical instruments.
  • This place has a fantastic view over the plaza and a very elaborated stucco. The portraits of European travelers on the walls Are funny as the style is in miniature. Just hope they could do something about the steps as they are wearing down after so many years. They are still being used by the public.
  • li Qapu (Persian: عالی‌ قاپو‎, ‘Ālī Qāpū) is a grand palace in Isfahan, Iran. It is located on the western side of the Naqsh e Jahan Square, opposite to Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and had been originally designed as a vast portal. It is forty-eight meters high and there are six floors, each accessible by a difficult spiral staircase. In the sixth floor, Music Hall, deep circular niches are found in the walls, having not only aesthetic value, but also acoustic. Ali Qapu is rich in naturalistic wall paintings by Reza Abbasi, the court painter of Shah Abbas I, and his pupils. There are floral, animal, and bird motifs in his works. The highly ornamented doors and windows of the palace have almost all been pillaged at times of social anarchy. Only one window on the third floor has escaped the ravages of time. Ali Qapu was repaired and restored substantially during the reign of Shah Sultan Hussein, the last Safavid ruler, but fell into a dreadful state of dilapidation again during the short reign of invading Afghans. Under the reign of Nasir ol Din Shah e Qajar (1848–96), the Safavid cornices and floral tiles above the portal were replaced by tiles bearing inscriptions.
