  • Very nice this eclectic building shapes and decorations is in the middle of one of the long sides of the rectangle of the square, spread over six floors and from above you can enjoy a beautiful panorama. Among other things, the music room on the top floor with decorations in the shape of musical instruments carved in the walls.

  • Ali Qapu Palace which means "gate of Ali" son-in-law of Mohammed, is the former Palace of the Shah of Iran that is impressive in the grandiose Naqsh-e Jahan square in Esfahan. rectangular plan building, spread over six floors (for about 38 meters tall) and has a wide terrace, covered with inlaid ceiling supported by columns, which offers spectacular views across the square. On the sixth floor of the building, where they held the Royal receptions rooms are bigger than the whole Palace, like the one dedicated to banquets that abounded in stucco pots and cups in all shapes and the music room, where bands and soloists would play and sing. A sight to behold even without the music!

  • Amazing view over the biggest plaza of Iran; the music hall is really a wonderful place to stay a bit and admire the work of the artesans that made that vision reality

Where to stay in Esfahan

Esfahan includes a smattering of accommodations that provide variety, if not depth of choice. Along the main Chahar Bagh drag and the streets that lead off it, you'll find a few fairly basic hotels, providing decent rooms in the city center, close to the main attractions and services. Hostels can be found, with dormitory rooms providing particularly good options for budget-conscious travelers who want to be right in the thick of things close to the main square and the bazaar. The most luxurious hotels in town lie further to the south, set in historic buildings overlooking the river.
