Browse the life's work of one of the most renowned Indonesian painters at Affandi Museum. As you approach the site, note the museum's exterior: the building was designed and constructed by Affandi himself, with the roof resembling a banana leaf. Enter to view a large collection of 250 colorful, expressive paintings. Admission includes a guide and screening of a documentary that will help you understand the close bond between Affandi's personal life and his art. Later, enjoy some food or drink at the onsite cafe and shop for souvenirs at the gift shop. Make Affandi Museum a part of your Yogyakarta vacation plans using our Yogyakarta tourist route planner.

  • I visited the museum in 2011 and 2015, and now i have the chance to visit the restaurant called Pronto Steak and Pasta. The museum is a pretty good place to explore and enhance your knowledge about art, and it offers free guide so you can understand each painting interpretations. While the restaurant has decent food that are served pretty quickly (so the guests dont have to wait long to enjoy their dish). The staffs on museum and restaurant are all helpful and nice, i love this place so much 😊
