  • Great Beach to chill!!! It's a bit secluded! Not too many people which is good. After you park, there are locals who want to guide you, however you don't need it as you only need to go down the stairs...  more »
  • Very long walk down to the beach, and the climb up is even worse. But it is a nice and quiet beach for strolling and taking photos. The beach is not that long, and on each end there is a cave that may...  more »
  • The line there is a piece through a forest already beautiful, very idyllic. Arrived we had to pay any parking fees, real good. The descent and the rise of very slightly exhausting are but no problem for fit people. For older people or people who are not walking, I would not therefore recommend the beach. The steps to the beach down perform under the trees to see here there are also some monkeys. The beach itself is not to run over some local. The flow was strong that day, yet could be swimming well. Further out were also some surfers. The sand is not too rough and in itself, it's really clean, which is unusual for Bali, particularly in November. One finds sunscreen under the rock that is really perfect. Locals walking around to sell cold drinks. It here we liked and we come back.

  • Go during low tide. Water is muddy, rocky rather. Long walk down the stairs, get ready for some work out. But chilling inside the cave is fun, totally worth it for those instagram shots. Do not follow Google maps blindly, we got to a very rocky road coming from Nusa Dua, make sure you take a smoother route. Most locals don't know about this beach.
  • You have to take a medium tracking to step down if you wanna reach the beach. Some surfers are surfing at this place. Nice place to spend your day with friends. Even you have to step up maybe more than 100 stairs.
  • Breathtakingly beautiful. Must visit. However, there are many steps down!
  • Make sure it is low tide when you come here, waves can get really high and it will be too hard to walk to the dome but thats when surfers come over to ride them waves. Prepare to walk about 350 steps down the stairs without railings but when you get there it is really worth it and you'll be dying to immediately swim the water. There are locals that offer massage when you go back up anyways. It can get crowded but when you get lucky you can probably have the beach to yourself.
  • Great exercise for the legs.. And the heart! Make sure you come here when you're fit.

Where to stay in Ungasan

Ungasan has a number of luxury villas and resorts, but not much by way of affordable accommodations for the shoestring traveler. Staying in Ungasan is gaining in popularity due to the relatively untouched white sandy beaches, panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, and generally laid-back atmosphere. Located close to golf courses, the town's best beaches, and the airport, the self-contained villas here represent a degree of opulence, yet may also be the most independent jumping-off points for exploring the island and town.
