Blue Point Beach, Ungasan
(4.5/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Explore the nooks and crannies of Blue Point Beach, a secluded strip of white sand surrounded by weathered rock faces. Access the beach via a steep set of stairs, which take you through a gap in the cliffs and allow you to observe the impressive geological structures dominating the area. Bring a surf or body board to take advantage of the rolling waves, wade in the clear water among the rocks, corals, and seaweed, or perch on a boulder and admire the scenery. A cafe sits at the top of the cliffs, providing a great vantage point from which to take in the views of the rugged landscape and sparkling ocean. • What a beach!! You have to go down for 10 minutes through the small restaurant and bars and you arrive on the sand behind the rock and a massive hole is the entrance to do to the tube!
  • Nice to have a drink with nice views of the sea. Cozy little shops. Really a surf spot. Note: Beware of people who offer you drugs.

  • The rock formation is impressive. Beach is best accessible when it is low tide, not when there is high tide, although high tide will show you impressive waves hitting the rocks and flowing through lit...  more »

  • As the name implies, the water looked blue with small patches of white sandy beach. Blue Point is an amazing hidden beach in Bali. You could reach the beach by climbing down dozen of stairs with lots of bars around. The sunset here is amazing and the waves are good for surfing. Be careful if you want to swim here because the beach is rocky. Pros: + Great sunset view, perfect spot for pre wedding photography + Nice wave for surfing + There is a cave just before the beach Cons: - Lots of stairs to reach the spot, not suitable for older people - Rocky beach
  • CRUELTY TO ANIMALS The blue point beach (Uluwatu) is a beautiful place, full of tourists, surfers.... However, in the entrance of this paradise I saw a really disturbing situation of cruelty to animals. In front of GALIH MART there is a cage with two monkeys in. The biggest one was injured, there was a metal wire in his neck penetrating in his flesh. His neck was badly infected. There was no food or water and the temperature yesterday achieved above 30 Celsius. I have been there for the all day and no water or food was provided. It is really disturbing that the person whom is the 'responsible' (according to local people information is the owner of GALIH MART) for those animal was not concerned about their wellbeing.
  • Loved it! So soothing. You need to walk a few rocky stairs to get there but it's totally worth it. Clear waters with occasional viewing of crabs and fishes. Great place for surfers. Also, try the corn being sold near the bike parking area.
  • Great Surfer Spot with a bunch of nice bars. No beach for swimming! And be prepared that you pay a lot for transport to get away from there. We just called it the transport mafia ;-)
  • Best place! There are few levels of bars and restaurants on the cliff and then the beach - the part you enter first is tiny, but the locals showed us a beautiful part which is invisible at first, hidden behind the rocks. Stunning!
