Yeh Pulu Temple, Ubud

3.0
#3 of 7 in Historic Sites in Ubud
Hidden among the bright green rice fields and banana trees, Yeh Pulu Temple features a collection of 14th-century carvings on a stone wall. First discovered in the 1920s, the site was then extensively excavated in 1929. Don a traditional (and required) sarong, and walk along the fascinating wall with a gentle waterfall to one side. Follow the lush gardens and Hindu sculptures down the path as you interpret stories of ancient life in Bali. Visit the ritual holy bathing pools and the spirit water fountains to learn more about the deep connection between water, the rice fields, and the people. • Stopped on the way to the other sights of Ubud, not donated. Yes, the entrance fee, as is parking, like all of Bali. Show me anything in Bali, where no fees = D Boldly otshivaem unnecessary guides, and enjoy a walk in the quiet, picturesque place, on the way to the rock reliefs. The atmosphere is relaxed, near bas-reliefs themselves, another collector of taxes in the face of Granny, you okropljajushhej the holy water, pass by, does not react) we liked the place is beautiful)

  • Better to see a photo of the bas-relief on the Internet and save yourself time and money. At the entrance isn't spitting in different directions on the go Granny and demands money to Park (just along the road, there is no separate parking spaces). Tickets cost 15 thousand, but booth cashier after you linked any type that accompanies you along the track, something lopochet and at some point, fortunately at the beginning, said that he and after its "tours" take with you still 100 thousand! Supposedly to help children with disabilities in the local community and the fifteen that you paid an entrance fee goes to the Government in Jakarta, and you really want to get in on the good deed ... Divorce is shorter than the full. They said that the US tour is not relevant, but it is not until otlipal asked whether it was possible to simply pick up the money for the entrance and walk away. After going to the end found a tiny shrine (three adjacent small columns), which sits at the entrance to another grandmother and sees that you're necessarily threw money in the donation box (and in the US have coins looked with great condescension and whatever the local language began to gather, apparently, what do we have any more serious. Not worth the visit
