3.4/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Hidden among the bright green rice fields and banana trees, Yeh Pulu Temple features a collection of 14th-century carvings on a stone wall. First discovered in the 1920s, the site was then extensively excavated in 1929. Don a traditional (and required) sarong, and walk along the fascinating wall with a gentle waterfall to one side. Follow the lush gardens and Hindu sculptures down the path as you interpret stories of ancient life in Bali. Visit the ritual holy bathing pools and the spirit water fountains to learn more about the deep connection between water, the rice fields, and the people. • Yeh pulu is nice and secluded. If you're in the area, you can look at it. At the entrance, a tour guide who wants to carry around a reports. After a few steps he says he expect for a donation (100,000 rupiah) that he allegedly collect for charity. If you would like to donate, he warps himself but soon. There is also a lady who blesses a spot and draws attention to their donation box for it several times. If it does not interfere with, Yeh pulu is a nice place.

  • Beautiful rock carvings, get blessed at the shrine for a small donation. Then visit Yeh Puluh cafe for some wonderful local food.
  • Yeh Pulu relief location is located in Banjar Batulumbang , Bedulu village. Blahbatuh sub district , it is about 26 km from Denpasar City . this tourist attraction is a part of archeological heritage.
  • Very interesting. Be careful, as you have to pay a local guide to take you there, you aren't allowed to go by yourself.
  • In a lovely quiet countryside it is said that a demon cutted this wall in stone with its nails ;-) Come here and have a look. If you cannot find it directly ask people as we did - they were very helpful. Free Sarongs at the entry
  • Small authentic wall sculpture in the middle of rice fields but not a lot to see. Also some usual plastic garbage here and there like nearly everywhere in Indonesia.
