  • This walk can be varied in length. Great way to experience real Bali. Plenty of places along the way for a drink or a chat with the locals. Nicest early in the morning. No guide required  more »
  • The walk begins Radi next to Starbucks (Kajeng) is on the wall. If you walk out of it at all then change the concrete pad in a path which turns into walking on concrete edges. Keep also than by walking until you see a kind of bridge links so you can poke it was about. Walking through the other side back. Must have earthen dams there but after about 300 metres you get right back a normal path. This is later again wider and then you come some fun places on drinks. At the end you come in the main street of Ubud. Would you like a short and you can immediately after the museum a narrow path. This looks like nothing but if you have walked about 500 metres you come again in the terraces. You then still by then you know on the road from Kajeng and you can turn right to the beginning.

  • We walked a lot in the rice fields, which are the venues of calm compared to the town of Ubud, very noisy with the tut tut cars and other incessant scooters, a moment of rest, where you can see the harvest of rice, of true natures beautiful ballads.

Where to stay in Ubud

Sayan Valley offers luxury accommodations atmospherically designed to fit the look and feel of the natural surroundings, with infinity pools, wooden lodges, and yoga-ready verandas aplenty. Less expensive alternatives are also available, albeit with fewer amenities and a little less isolation. If you wish to stay in Ubud itself, look for charming and inexpensive rooms rented by local families (with many including breakfast in the cost), or consider the pricier single-occupancy apartments.
