Puri Saren Palace, Ubud

(2.7/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Wander through a small section of the tranquil grounds of Puri Saren Palace, full of intricate sculptures, religious carvings, and ornate architecture. The palace once served as the former residence of Tjokorda Gede Agung Sukawati (1910–1978), the last ruling monarch of Ubud. Today the grounds are open to the public (not the building though), and hold regular cultural performances featuring masked performers and fire dancers moving to hypnotic percussion. • This palace is right opposite the market in Ubud and well worth a visit. There are no charges and there is no required dress code. Absolutely worth a vist while in Ubud.  more »
  • The place is nice but it is closed so you can't see what's inside. If you don't have time you can skip it. It is free and you can see the dance show.  more »
