Puri Saren Palace, Ubud

2.5
#96 of 621 in Things to do in Ubud
Wander through a small section of the tranquil grounds of Puri Saren Palace, full of intricate sculptures, religious carvings, and ornate architecture. The palace once served as the former residence of Tjokorda Gede Agung Sukawati (1910–1978), the last ruling monarch of Ubud. Today the grounds are open to the public (not the building though), and hold regular cultural performances featuring masked performers and fire dancers moving to hypnotic percussion. Plan my Ubud trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

  • A temple as there are many in Bali. Fun to watch them, but after a while are those without extras (waterfall, pond, fountains ...) a bit lean to long. On the other hand, the details are always fun to look at.

  • One of the sights of Bali, the palace is not very big, the visit time is relatively short, and do not charge tickets, opposite is the market of Ubud, you can stop by to see some unique buildings and sculpture
