  • My wife and I had so much fun at this class. We loved the market tour and the attention to detail. The area where we cooked was open and airy so not too hot. The food was delicious and our hosts graci...  more »
  • Judging by the number of stars on Tripadvisor, this cooking class chosen. Afterwards we also know where they have come from the 5 star; by the end of the cooking course 15 minutes to say that everyone Paon on Tripadvisor really 5 star. The course fell very against, because at the beginning all the ingredients for 6 different dishes are nominated, and then you take a vegetable is going to cut Starter 1, then pureeing a portion goes peanuts appetizer 5, then again something cuts Starter 3: there is no logic in and at the end of the ride you have no idea what you have done for which court. Our group was also with 17 people, making you no personal guidance. You get for this money really better cooking courses in Ubud, so be warned!

  • All good. Good enviroment. Good people. Good food. The only thing i liked less is that we were too many people in the class (14 people)  more »

  • Amazing location with super friendly host and hostess. The house is incredible and we also went to visit the family's temple. The cooking class itself started with all the fresh ingredients laid out and then we all chopped, sliced, pounded and ground them into the pastes etc that we would use for cooking. This was much better than some cooking classes where everything is all prepared and you just put it in the pan! We made a really wide range of dishes with different meats and fish and Tempe (crunchy fermented soy bean) and then all ate together. Overall I couldn't recommend this cooking class enough, Ive come away feeling I would love to give Indonesian food a crack when back in the UK! As in the words of our lovely host: "Enjoy it Honey! :)"
  • Definitely one of our favorite experiences in Bali. We paid for a private lesson since we were on our honeymoon. Totally worth it. We really loved meeting the owner and had a great time speaking with her all night. She's an incredible entrepreneur and has a great sense of humor, so be sure to chat with her. The staff were all friendly the food we made was excellent!
  • The class is so well organized. The lady of the house and her family are so warm and welcoming that they really make you feel at home. Oh and the food is amazing!! Love it!! I highly recommend
  • The best cooking class ever! Tasty food, great teacher, outdoor kitchen, local ingredients and great Bali experience! Loved it!
  • We have just returned from our cooking class at Paon iBali and I cannot recommend this experience enough. The driver collected us from our hotel on time and before we got to the class they gave us a tour of some rice paddy fields and took us for a brisk visit to a local grocery market to explore some of the ingredients that we will be using during our class. The kitchen and dining area are very clean and spacious overlooking lush greenery. The host was very funny and informative. The supporting staff went above and beyond to accommodate the guests various dietary requirements, which was fantastic. We were presented with tea and coffee before we :started the class which was prefect as I woke late and had to skip breakfast. They also provided ample drinkig water throughout where guests could grab bottles of water from the fridge in the kitchen. We prepared 8 dishes in total and every dish was a taste of pure Balinese cuisine. The class was conducted in a very comfortable pace and it allowed all guests to really get their hands dirty. All in all, the experience made for a very enjoyable and relaxing morning. If you are in Bali then don't miss the chance to join Paon Bali for one of their cooking classes. Thank you Paon Bali, we will be recommending you to our friends and family.
