4.4
#2 of 16 in Sightseeing in Ubud
Scenic Walking Area Tourist Spot
One of the most rewarding free activities in Ubud, Campuhan Ridge Walk doubles as a picturesque and eco-friendly bicycle ride. This paved trail traverses some of Bali's prettiest landscapes and offers nature lovers a chance to get some fresh air, stretch their legs, and escape the more crowded southern sections of the island. The trek starts at an 8th-century shrine in Ubud and snakes across verdant hills for a little over 9 km (5 mi). Suitable for hikers and cyclists of all ages and fitness levels, the trail passes through tiny villages and right next to a cozy guesthouse, where you can rest and recharge before going back or charging onward. • Easy accessible walk. Lovely to get away from the traffic of Main Road. Several cafes toward the top of the walk  more »
  • I always enjoy the hike from Hotel Ibah to the Karsa Spa, which takes you over the hills of the Campuhan Ridge. The best time to do this would be early morning or in the late afternoon. It can get qui...  more »
  • Well worth the effort. Some physical fitness required, it is a bit of an effort in parts but plenty of places to rest along the way. Not wheelchair or walking stick friendly in my opinion as there are...  more »

  • About 30 minute scenic walk. Once you get to the top there's a small village with shops and cafes. Beautiful
  • You can have a nice stroll through some fields with a very nice view. Unfortunately the pretty part ends after 30min and you end up in a small village and walk the concrete street. There are many shops and restaurants but to be honest, the Karsa Kafe was the nicest one. Good option if you have some time to spare.
  • After a long walk (1h to appreciate the view and take great pictures) you will see an amazing view of the rice fields, just lovely during the sunset. Worth the effort!!
  • Love this little walk. I'd say it took us around 25mins one way. We stopped when we reached the village as it's not scenic anymore. There are restaurants and cafes after the walk.
  • Perfect place for jogging. Good view, very green and lovely place. Love it

Where to stay in Ubud

Sayan Valley offers luxury accommodations atmospherically designed to fit the look and feel of the natural surroundings, with infinity pools, wooden lodges, and yoga-ready verandas aplenty. Less expensive alternatives are also available, albeit with fewer amenities and a little less isolation. If you wish to stay in Ubud itself, look for charming and inexpensive rooms rented by local families (with many including breakfast in the cost), or consider the pricier single-occupancy apartments.
