4.3
#6 of 422 in Things to do in Ubud
One of the most rewarding free activities in Ubud, Campuhan Ridge Walk doubles as a picturesque and eco-friendly bicycle ride. This paved trail traverses some of Bali's prettiest landscapes and offers nature lovers a chance to get some fresh air, stretch their legs, and escape the more crowded southern sections of the island. The trek starts at an 8th-century shrine in Ubud and snakes across verdant hills for a little over 9 km (5 mi). Suitable for hikers and cyclists of all ages and fitness levels, the trail passes through tiny villages and right next to a cozy guesthouse, where you can rest and recharge before going back or charging onward. • You wouldn't find it unless you asking local there, no sign to the ridge. Nice walk, not to hard but I'd recommend walking shoes. All in all the ridge walk is a nice thing to do as it takes you out of...  more »
  • We did this our first day in Ubud; it was a nice way to see the country side and was actually very close to the city. Amazing how you can feel so secluded and only walk a small ways out of town.  more »
  • Enjoy some scenery and nature that Ubud can offer just a short distance from the Centre. Throw an eye at the temple Pura Gunung Lebah at the beginning of the journey.

  • Loved the walk. Easy walk, Worth doing. Well marked once you leave the main road. Don't keep walking much past the few restaurants on the left _It just goes back into 'suburban' road The best rice fields are there on the left.
  • An easy walk with great views. Bring a water bottle. The entrance is now well signposted. At the top you end up in a lovely village with good lunch spots and rice terraces.
  • Great walk to start the day! Very peaceful on the walk away from the business of the Ubud's traffic. It is a leisurely walk on and down some low hills.
  • I like walking here. Cause I got nice view in the afternoon. And I have some good picture here 😊
  • Good, super easy walk. Gets a bit crowded during the day so better to go either in the morning or afternoon.

Where to stay in Ubud

Sayan Valley offers luxury accommodations atmospherically designed to fit the look and feel of the natural surroundings, with infinity pools, wooden lodges, and yoga-ready verandas aplenty. Less expensive alternatives are also available, albeit with fewer amenities and a little less isolation. If you wish to stay in Ubud itself, look for charming and inexpensive rooms rented by local families (with many including breakfast in the cost), or consider the pricier single-occupancy apartments.
